about

The album was written with the listener in mind almost as much as it was for our own pleasure. Lyrically the album is immersed in metaphors and symbolism in the hope of allowing the listener to determine what he or she would like it to mean to them. On the surface, a simple analysis of the album may appear to suggest that the songs are about the inhumanistic struggle that man faces in modern society. If you were to consider another angle and delve a little deeper into the lyrical content, one may deduce that the album is about the mental struggle of man with any number of encounterable emotions and personality vexations throughout life.
Our intention for the album was that it should represent a journey, and a journey that more specifically is fueled by a symbolic struggle against control, whether it be mental or physical, personal or public, and an intense hatred for it. Lyrically the album is wide open for interpretation and was written with so much metaphorical symbolism that the listener can listen and create any meaning for the songs that they so wish. Likewise with the music.
At times the songs from the album appear to fit into a standard verse chorus verse structure, and at other times the music is quite abstract and progressive. At times the music is flavoured with multiple smatterings of genres, ranging from jazz to funk and dance to rock, but always returning to the prominent ingredient of polyrhythmic heavy metal to beautifully coincide with the overriding album theme of struggle and exertion.
Take some time and listen to the album. Listen to the music, listen to the vocals and listen to the lyrics. The album means many different things to us, our intention is that it will mean many different things for you also.

The album was written early 2011 and recorded by Ross Halden @ Ghost Town during that time. There's a few tracks you can listen to now and a further 4 after release. There will be a CD and download available soon.
